Day 3: That was almost too close

Don't worry. It's not like this hastily planned ritual will lead directly to the end of the world if you fail. It will take like 2-3 days first.

Day 3: That was almost too close

Postby necklessone » 16 Sep 2014, 18:02:48

You avoided losing a virgin at the last moment. Oh, and DastardlyOldMan is nothing special.

Power options coming up shortly.

There was an edit due to a GM error. If you saw it, try and forget it.

----
oday, you can choose from three power options.
  • Recon - If you choose recon, you can seer one player and receive their role tomorrow.
  • Manipulation - If you choose manipulation, you may choose a player to receive +1 vote and another to be so drunk they pass out in a ditch, protecting them that night but also blocking night powers.
  • Desperation - These powers will remain the same each day and are once per game. If you are desperate, you may:
    • Make a night kill.
    • Swap the archetype of two living players.
    • Lynch the person who gets the second most votes.
    • Make 25% of the players (your choice) immune to maul/lynch the next day.
    • Force the wolves to maul a member of your team instead of their target

So the early time (8pm central) is really messing me up. I only voted to avoid a penalty.

I have no idea how I became a bandwagon so quickly. But I'm going to try and post a bit tonight, to avoid a wolf reputation

Alright.

Ionitor is dropping some pretty heavy hints that he is the guardian. Now Hellheart mentions that he (Ionitor) is providing seer cover.

But We know Ionitor is a normal.

I recommend we recon a virgin to find a wolf. Visigoth is my suggestion.

Alternate: If the day develops we could use Manipulation and protect Ionitor from the upcoming maul.

future simple_simon, I do love it when you use the cat pics and gifs. As far as I'm concerned, this will keep you alive in my book.

So I'm going to point out that if there are faction boards (virgins/fools/etc) then the wolves probably know who we are, by simple process of elimination.

I wouldn't name those factions, just be vague about it. If there aren't faction boards, we don't want yo look like we have too much information.

Sorry that wasn't clear. I'm just pointing it out to you and Zark. If each wolf lists their faction members to the other wolves, we'll stand out.

Recon missions:
Night 2 - DastardlyOldMan is nothing special.
Night 1 - Ionitor and Anzig are nothing special.

Dead:
MEM was a wolf =day 1 lynch
CAD was the human hunter = night 1 maul
Anzig - human vanilla = day 2 lynch
Appears night 2 maul was GA Protected

Last, our options are:
  • Recon - If you choose recon, you can seer one player and receive their role tomorrow.
  • Manipulation - If you choose manipulation, you may choose a player to receive +1 vote and another to be so drunk they pass out in a ditch, protecting them that night but also blocking night powers.

I ~really~ wonder what the use case is for the last option, unless we're really running low on virgins, suspect they're going down, and are out of all other options.

Necklessone: Can you clarify on the desperation moves: (not a vote)
1) can you confirm the "maul a member of our team" is as read? Am I missing something there?
2) Make 25% of the players (your choice) immune to maul/lynch the next day. - What happens if we make the leading lynch candidate(s) immune, does it go to the next highest candidate?

If so, it might be fun if we could predict the likely lynch leaders (protecting ourselves, naturally), & steer to the 3rd or 4th string candidate as a result.

So... do we want to continue informational, or get a little more active?

That is pretty much the intended use case. But feel free to surprise me.

The other player will know who cannot be lynched or mauled and they will not be valid candidates to vote for. Also, this power has a delay. If you activate it today, it happens on day 4.

That's... slightly less fun. It'd be so much better if you let it happen quietly:

In my world, the three of us are immune to lynch and maul, because we are so damn good looking

Also in my world, the 2 most likely lynch candidates are immune

Guy lining up for lynch position number 3 never sees it coming.

So, since we all agree my version is better, you mind making a slight rules change? I mean, you are in good with the guy running this thing, right?

Are other desperation moves published?

Note with 23 players, 25% = 5 players (unless someone can be partially immune). This number should hold through to tomorrow but not afterwards - if we wish to use the unlynch/unmaul protection to protect ourselves ~and~ remain under the radar, this is a factor.

Why oh why is Rekard a Virgin? :eyebrow:

Barring feedback from others - retracted, was Recon Hellheart

(Necklessone, can you do me a favor? I'd like to leave this as anyone may override - I may not get back tonight)

I would prefer to recon rekard. I feel like we should try to find a virgin wolf so we can see who is going to be "protected" by both camps.
