Day 5: That'll learn them

Don't worry. It's not like this hastily planned ritual will lead directly to the end of the world if you fail. It will take like 2-3 days first.

Day 5: That'll learn them

Postby necklessone » 18 Sep 2014, 18:08:39

As you flee from the wolves with the other students, Omega stumbles across Clearasday’s backpack. He tosses it over his shoulder; may be something useful in there.

ICB is at +1 vote today.

Today’s power choices:
  • Recon - Seer two players.
  • Rearm - Choose one archetype. One of the surviving members gains a vig kill, chosen at random.
  • Desperation - These powers will remain the same each day and are once per game. If you are desperate, you may:
    • Make a night kill.
    • Swap the archetype of two living players.
    • Lynch the person who gets the second most votes.
    • Make 25% of the players (your choice) immune to maul/lynch the next day.
    • Force the wolves to maul a member of your team instead of their target

If we look at the big board, I'm going to **guess** that the two remaining wolves are hiding in the virgins and fools. So if that is true, I suggest we seer the virgins to find the wolf.

Agreed. Seer the virgins

So if I assume that the wolves were spread out one per archetype, then I have a few more humans. Throwing the whole mess together and trying to solve for x means:

BlindSniper83 : 2 : Hellheart, Simple_Simon
DastardlyOldMan : 2 : Mister E. Meat, Anzig
Okaros : 2 : Snake, Omega
Omega : 2 : rekard, dferrantino

Ionitor : 1 : RaveBomb
Iron Clad Burrito : 1 : San
rekard : 1 : DastardlyOldMan
San : 1 : BlindSniper83
No vote recorded (1) : jokerfish

Day 4 votes:
Okaros : 7 : dferrantino, sphenodont, Admetus, Omega, 7-Zark-7, Ionitor
Ionitor : 6 : That PJ, Iron Clad Burrito, Visigoth, BlindSniper83, RaveBomb, Okaros

So maybe seer: Visigoth and Aldax.

Looking at Day 4: The 3 unknowns on Ionitor are all virgins. Blindsniper, Ravebomb, Visigoth.

Of those 3 virgins, Visigoth is also on Hellheart on Day 3.

Knowing Aldax's role would help clear up several spots as well.

I support the seer choices, but keep in mind 3 out of 4 people we've seered have ended up dead, so, I don't know... Let's try to be real casual about it?

Let's look at the board:
Subject: The Big Board And Team Rules

|d |           |          |               |             |

We need to kill 1 athlete and 2 fools. I pity the latter, but you're changing the subject. I think ICB is sniffing a little strongly at us (or at least you gents) & am wondering if we should use our night kill on him and direct attention towards the fools

The recon ability might not be there tomorrow, we can kill at any time. We can also flip roles so that we "kill" an athlete.

Agreed recon likely won't be there tomorrow. Your second point is of interest though.

First things first: Necklessone - can you advise if the earthquake was caused by us (acceptance of the scholarly sacrifice)?

As it stands, it's in our interest for any of the following to fall (lynch, maul, other):

Athletes (1):
Admetus (day 1 bandwagon of 4 votes : jokerfish, That PJ, 7-Zark-7, Ionitor - day 3 = 1 vote from Rictus, day 4 = 1 vote from San)
ICB (day 3 1 vote from san - has one penalty vote today)
sphenodont (day 2 microbandwagon of dferrantino & hellheart, day 3 microbandwagon of ThatPJ & dferrantino, day 4 1 vote from jokerfish)
That PJ (no bandwagons)

Fools (2):
dferrantino (no bandwagons - voted on sphenodont day 3, but started the votes on Okaros day 4 (we might spin as "buying human cred for the long game"))
jokerfish (no bandwagons)
meta4 (no bandwagons)
Ryvvn (no bandwagons)
simple_simon (1 vote on day 1 from blindsniper)

Another option is to take the Virgin Connie Swail Ionitor (who keeps gaining traction) and swap him with one of the harder to lynch fools or athletes as our desperation task at some point

Cross posting Snake's seer list here to update the Rictus table & future targeting goals... Since he labeled ICB and Admetus human, they'll be harder to purge later:

Subject: Day 5: Maybe more nails next time and less duct tape?

Snake wrote:Fair enough, I will word it appropriately. Further information:

My public pursuit of the MEM train was largely invented to appear to be on a goose chase and not a viable maul target.

The following seerings took place:
Day 1: CAD is human hunter
Day 2: Admetus is not a wolf
Day 3: ICB is not a wolf
Day 4: sphenodont is a wolf.

Now let's discuss the Fools - 2 of them have to die for us to achieve our goals:
Fools (2):
dferrantino (no bandwagons - voted on sphenodont day 3, & started the votes on Okaros day 4 (we might spin as "buying human cred for the long game"))
jokerfish (no bandwagons)
meta4 (no bandwagons)
Ryvvn (no bandwagons)
simple_simon (1 vote on day 1 from blindsniper)

If we're going with recon, I suspect it's a better use of our resources to find safe targets amongst fools than to identify virginia wolf. We don't want to pick the wrong one for an action & end the game prematurely for the humans (something something bad things happen). We could swap roles if we hit wolf & make them a virgin

I'm awfully tempted to roll the dice and desperation/nightkill Dferrantino... it might be seen as a fulfillment of the lovers stuff being debated in day thread (I seriously doubt he's the final wolf based upon his vote structure, & you may write that on my tombstone if the world ends because I am wrong). It would be awfully nice to enter the weekend with only one death to plan amongst fools.

Less of a point - the extra vote on ICB is liable to be discussed tomorrow when it's revealed.

Alternative - Desperation/Lynch the person who gets the second most votes (presuming they're a fool). Sphenodont will likely lead, & goes back on the block the next cycle. Suspicion for the vote modifier is pointed to the wolves

Thoughts?

Sphenodont's post underlines the group's belief that there are two remaining wolves. I'm curious based on him outing Rictus if they intend to maul him tonight. If so, it'd be valuable to move things along a hair.

Casting my vote to Nightkill Dferrantino

I'm mostly around & would like to discuss with the group - Rictus/Omega - you guys online?

Hrmm.

How did sphenodont know that?

Do the wolves maul Snake tonight? or go after someone else, assuming a GA. And if they go after someone else, does Snake in fact peer at Rictus.

(Trying to think it there is value in forcing them to maul Rictus?)

Yes, if you use that power you choose who they eat. You're pretty much dousing them in wolf pheromones and steak sauce.

I would rather not deal with a night kill.

Right now , the humans have to believe a wolf if they want to think WE are a threat.

If we kill and the maul goes off, then the humans will start looking for us.

So I respectfully say no night kill.
Charming, to the last.
