Day 6. Mainframe Armed.

Postby rekard » 16 Dec 2014, 18:48:40

Trembling is felt. Help is not coming. Then you hear a ping. The computer says Death Ray READY.

Today you have a group vig shot. It's by majority. If a sudden majority votes to kill a guy, he'll die. The only way to not fire the ray is if more than half abstain or vote no shot. Then the shot will be done another day.

We can shoot ANYONE, or just in our room?

Oh, hi guys. I have this nifty cellphone here that hooks into... uh... wait.

Admetus, did you grab the phone? I seem to have misplaced it. I might have set it down when I was seasoning those steaks...

You can shoot anyone. Remember there is a death ray gun on every room, cuz monsters.

Also, you have to kick out one player too.

Wait, wait, wait - you people actually talk to each other? In your rooms? I feel like I've been trapped in here with a bunch of mannequins, and not in the good waayyyy-aaaiiit a minute, I'm talking out loud again, aren't I?

Huge push on RaveBomb right out the door this morning, which feels off.

Yeah, what's the basis for that?

Also, I think we should totally not kill Wasabi. Either he is wolf, or Admetus. While I also wouldn't mind taking out Admetus, I have grown attached... He makes a mean chicken parm.

Is that based on the maul hitting the kitchen, ICB? I really need to be doing a better job of tracking the historical room setup, I'm slacking a bit on this one.

Yes. Technically this includes me as well, but I know I am human. So there you go.

I have been lax as well, but aside from the first day, I have had it easy so I can't say anything about other people keeping track.

I'm tempted to vote for a vig on RaveBomb, but the possibility of shapeshifter is too worrying. If it turns out that Rave is human and they try to go for CAD, I want to have a vote history to look at. Definitely there is a strong chance of wolf manipulation in any of these "process of elimination" lynches. Including the one pointing me at Wasabi.

No Vig

The shapeshifter does not appear to be able to obscure himself at vigilante events, just lynch.

No vig = no fun.

Vig Wasabi

Don't forget to kick out a player too.

For the vig shot I have:
Wasabi - 2
No Vig - 1

If there is a third vote to vig Wasabi the shot will be done immediately.
Currently, the only way for no shot to happen is if DOM and Blindsniper both vote No Vig or abstain.

Good point. But what I mean is I'm concerned that it could have been a Zark->someone shapeshift, and they're relying on "Zark was human" in their landslide on RaveBomb. I might be focusing too hard on a small edge case possibility.

I'll think about it. It might even improve the vote record to vig now and start over. But as CAD pointed out, we have 11 players, 4 wolves, so 7 humans. A missed vig would mean we are at lynch or lose. Not sure I want to commit to that.

(edit for underline since we have one of the prime suspects in here pushing for a vig)

If Zark shape-shifting happened, we're still looking at you, me, and Wasabi.

Plus the other room has a vig as well, and a double maul tonight - we may not be able to afford not taking a chance.

If I misinterpreted rekards posts today PLEASE correct me.

Noted on the first thing. Also I have to say I think Zark as a shapeshifter is a concern, but I wouldn't bet money on it. It's just something to keep in mind.

I do not think the other room has a vig. I re-read the OP and second post and it looks like the explicit meaning of the "hurry things up" part is that there's a double maul. I don't see any hints about another vig. Rekard, if you could clarify, that would rock. Personally I feel like it's odd that the death ray operator would be warning us about increased mauls -- he's the lynch guy.

Right now it's mainly RaveBomb's insistence that makes me reluctant. Also I'm still a bit busy today, so I'm not in a rush to fire.

Zapping any of you, me, and Wasabi is not a great choice. I was hoping to nail lucifer, since his immunity doesn't seem to extend past a lynch.

Admetus cannot be lucifer, but neither, I believe, can Wasabi be. On the day lucifers kill was used, Wasabi didn't even appear until after deadline. I think we can safely eliminate him as lucifer.

Mathematically of the three of us, I am the only one could be he. I am not, but I could be.

Vote for Wasabi withdrawn. I can vote for lasering ravebomb if we want to try to lynch someone else.

I'm tempted to hold onto it: not only do I not have a good read on anyone at this point (I brain-dumped a bit yesterday, if you want to go take a poke), but also because collectively, vig-shots tend to hurt us more than they help, unless we've got a clear target.

Gut and thinking about the day's events tells me that only one wolf is in the room. Two in the other. Unless DOM is seriously hiding well, a thing I cannot rule out.

Move blindsniper - if RaveBomb's our last wolf here, it doesn't really matter, but - no offense blindsniper - I want the more active people to be around to man that trigger if we need it. We'll have to look closely at who gets sent over the other direction, as well.
