Of course, by saying it so much you kind of ironically made the word itself... itself.

Lots of things rhyme with moot too! <holy crap, i started to write them out and the list seems nigh-endless>.

San wrote:Visigoth ate my meat pie! ;_;

That's a vicious lie. The only pie I ate was this delicious apple pie. The crust was that perfect combination of flaky and buttery. It was substantial but still airy so as to not overwhelm each bite. The filling was fresh and not too sweet. It also didn't just spill out everywhere when cut like some lesser pies are wont to do. I must find the cook who made this and get their recipe. Especially since I want another one now.

What to do with the loves... well other than tell them to get a room. Of course the normal placement of those two tend to lend towards one good and one bad we tend to range a bit far from standard in most games. And with them both self-admitting to being non-elemental wizards (which makes me wonder how exactly they got in here) I have some doubts as to their loyalties to the group (just look at who they are) even with the declaration of our grand leaders. Still the doubt remains as to if one of them may truly be naughty and in need of a talking to about his wayward ways. But seeing as who the supposed lovers are it seems acceptable to let them stew a bit. Perhaps nature will reveal which side they truly stand on in time.

Now to the meat of the issue and not this supposed pie I ate. If this mysterious meat pie had friends, nefarious friends but friends none the less, and knew about his potent power potential they would certainly not feel guilty at all about voting on him since it would take quite the miracle to put him in danger and any vote on him actually helps keep him safe. If such suspicions turned true I'd suspect those at the end voting on him to appear to get it close or at a tie. But the prime suspects in such a instance lead to our dear lovers. Hmm, perhaps turn to the other spicy item at the table. When the wagon wheels were turning Wasabi turned from one band member to a solo artist. I could see moving from one of the self-admitting pair but why not join in another group? I also was struck curious by retracting from Ionitor yet calling out Ozymandias as not wearing the sinister glove. Would such a statement not seem more in telling of Ionitor whom he'd just retracted from or perhaps if thoughts of good and evil laying in the hearts of lovers not stay on Ionitor if the opposite was good?

Approximately 10.5 hours remaining:

Mortus - 1 - rekard
rekard - 1 - Ryvvn
dferrantino - 1 - Smirker
Mister E. Meat - 1 - Meta4
sphenodont - 1 - Ionitor
Visigoth - 1 - San
Wasabi - 1 - Visigoth

Left to Vote: Many, Many, and Two.

I realize Wasabi's late throwaway vote switch looks suspicious, but I don't really see why a Wolf would even consider switching his vote off of Ionitor in that situation:

(1) If MEM were a Wolf, then Wasabi would presumably know about his vote manipulation power, and not have any reason to switch-- unless he wanted to switch onto MEM, to try to disguise their allegiance.

(2) In the more likely case that MEM's not a Wolf, then why would Wasabi bother switching when only Humans were in the lynch lead? Note that he had already mentioned that was on a plane, so no one expected him to switch.

So that vote may look odd, but I don't see how it could have helped the Wolves.

Right now, the player I most suspect is Zark

On both Days 1 and 2, he put a third vote on two higher-profile targets (Rave on Day 1, me on Day 2), which is a fairly common Wolf tactic.

I've been looking at the players that have been lying low, either with their post count or their voting, and Zark did strike me as one of the players who's been keeping a really low profile (based on his posts in the Innsmouth game, which is the only other one I've looked at). That's not really saying anything, of course, but there's plenty of ways to contribute even for people don't want to take part in the strategy discussion.

I'm not sure when we start looking at the people who have been more or less keeping silent or skirting around the edges, with either their votes or their posts. Given that a lot of higher-profile/more-active people have established limited (or potentially completely false, but linked to another player) human credibility, I'm not really sure where else we would go if we want to pull out more information.

It would be nice for the players who have so far kept more or less silent to pipe in with their thoughts, just to get some fresh ideas.

Red had been watching the petty theft of food and endless bickering for hours. She was getting pretty tired of sitting, and asside from the attention and lecherous slobbering her legs had gotten out of Wasabi, it seemed this crowd was made up more by monks than wizards. What's a lonely sorceress to do... She decided to stir things up a bit. Dferrantino. The spirits in her orb, or perhaps her liver, felt he would make an interesting mark for the afternoon. She hated to agree with Smirker, but she assumed he would move on before the day was done.

She tossed a pound of bacon in front of Wasabi. He deserved it.

I wouldn't read too much in Zark's change in participation - IIRC there was some change in his work load before the previous game (or was it NaNoWriMo prep?) that led him to skip that game and could be interfering here. Though I do find his votes well into "suspiciously safe".

Ionitor, Ozy, and Stigmata all still seem human to me. Ask me about the lovers again in a few days if they're both alive, though. I know that were I a wolf I'd be chomping at the bit to kill one to see how that affects the other.

Most of my other thoughts come from staring at votes too long; I'd really like to get another day at least to see what some of these people do without feeling undue pressure.

For now, I guess I'll lay down my vote for 7-Zark-7.

Edit: two small changes for grammar reasons

I was hoping that Ozy would get mauled and I would become a vig. But, if CAD is going to be eliminated anyway...

Zark has not been entertaining enough. Do we not bleed if we are cut? Do we not weep with allergies? Do we not need laughter? You know what needs laughter most of all? Slaughter! Let us Slaughter Zark with laughter and raise our spirits.

Also, this give me a larger share of the cheese and cracker spread.

I remember him saying that he'd be posting less, but I thought he'd just cut out a lot of his trademark posting style instead of outright posting less. The amount he posts is certainly a poor read in the same way that it is for rekard, although rekard has made much more of an effort to contribute regularly.

If we start voting on players for not being entertaining enough, I'm screwed.

So, I will not use that rationale for Zark.

I'm going for Wasabi today. Partly for voting for me yesterday, but mostly because I don't understand why he would initiate a late day switch to throw away his vote.

I'm going to need another day of data before I start tossing out theories. At this point it's just going to sound like so much FUD.

Mortus only because it creates a viable third bandwagon.

Maybe I'm paranoid, but I don't like the runaway bandwagon on the guy that hasn't even posted today.

Switching to sphenodont in an effort to even things out.

Ninja'd! Still changing my vote. Maybe we can actually get close to a tie.

Sorry for the lack of participation, guys. I'm hitting crunch time on my kitchen reno... one week before we're hosting a surprise 40th anniversary party for my parents at my place, and we've been painting all weekend. Bleh.

Anyway, I don't know if the big swing on blindsniper was one power or multiple powers, but I guess at this point I might not be around to try to figure it out?

So instead you vote for someone else who hasn't even posted. Thanks, pal.

(Actually, maybe I did post. I can't even remember right now.)

I'll take the opportunity to vote for Mortus, because I can't remember the last time I did that, and because maybe it will get some traction away from me.

Also, as to Ionitor's question about my vote Friday, I was meaning to come back and vote but didn't get the chance. My wife was using the laptop, and apparently, the "keep me hidden" cookie keeps timing out and was showing me online while my wife had the window open.
(Actually, at one point she tried to edit one of Visi's posts. I might need to relinquish mod status during games. :flail: )

Hmm, you know, there are twelve ways of performing the Rite, but eight of them cause instant death, and so might just be considered to summon Death in the "usual" manner, and the ninth is very hard to remember. This leaves three ways to safely summon death: Although the Rite can be performed by a couple of people with three small sticks and 4 cc of mouse blood or even with a fresh egg and two small sticks, most wizards (Ridcully excepted) prefer to do it the old fashioned way, with heavy equipment consisting of numerous drippy candles, octograms written on the floor, thuribles, and similar paraphernalia. They feel it's not "proper" wizardry if it's not showy enough.

I am afraid that things tend to come when called, much like my Luggage. Should my RP not be heavy handed enough, the box following me around may clarify matters. OOC on the IRL front, Necklessone has the feel of it - I took on a new job recently, & currently manage Media Operations for the largest broadcast facility in the US. It's kind of a big deal on paper... in reality, it's a major time sink. Not a vote...

I looked over at my gathered brothers in charms - Noting that I had drawn the wrath of Ozymandius, yet not causing me to look upon his works or tremble with despair. Given his non-elemental status, you'd think he'd recognize me as similarly blessed. Of course, no one is similarly blessed as Mrs Whitlow... His Lover, on the other hand, seems to have an affection for retracted/redacted/whatever: Sphenodont seems to have enough problems on his own.

Now to check back through the thread to see if I missed anything else. Nana, are you coming too?

More in a bit,

I object more to the runaway bandwagon than the lack of participation. But I'm open to suggestions.

She doesn't read it.. she was just wondering what the window was and why I was leaving it open. And she thought she was posting something like "sphenodont is a jackass who leaves the toilet seat up", but instead hit the Edit button.

Caught it in time, thankfully, but got a bit of primer on my keyboard. :)

If you're claiming to be a Non-Elemental Human, can you please claim a specific role? That will give you more credibility.

Are you claiming to have seered me as Human? Wouldn't ask so bluntly but you might die soon ...

I distrust this late move on sphenodont. So I think I'll end the night on my current target.
*sigh*
Besides, there are vote manip powers that might come into play.

I don't know how I missed this before, but hello... My dear, you have my complete & undivided

None of that. Vespa would be pissed

Nana, I'm worried about you. A nice young lady gives me the time of day

It's not the time you wanted to give her

Regardless, you're being rude to the redhead, something I can never abide. If you can't say something nice, please keep your big trap shut

Nana... Nana, put down the knife. Augie, I think you better run for it.

For the record, I am no seer. I am as powerless as they come. I display, despite my apparent failure as a wizard, a fairly extensive magical knowledge, recognizing various spells, magical artifacts and concepts throughout my escapades.

What I don't do is try to take this world we are blessed enough to inhabit & try to roll it down to just roles, elements, and dairy products. Rather takes the fun out of it, doncha think?

Some of his talents once stemmed from a semi-sentient and highly destructive spell that had lodged itself inside his mind and scared off all other spells, though it must be stated that even without the spell's interference he was still an extremely incompetent wizard

Thank you Nana... again, please put down the knife, you're scaring the others
