I had a prickly pear margarita with dinner which consisted of a huge plate of chicken and black bean nachos. Next up is an interesting mixed drink consisting of (among other things) rum, liquer, vanilla ice cream and peanut butter fudge. It's not something I would normally order, but I thought I would try it for the sake of the Mackinac Fudge Festival currently in full swing.

That might be the one down side to living/working in Southern California. When almost every Friday is a "summer" Friday, no Friday is a "Summer Friday."

Passover is coming in two weeks and I've got a mostly empty bottle of gin that I'd rather not store somewhere for the week.
I'm not saying drnka tonight, but I'm not not saying it if you get my drift.

How un-empty is "mostly"? Doesn't sound like much drnka potential, but maybe it's a large bottle?

Re: The drnka thread
Random tweet post from when I was hung over at breakfast this morning
The bathroom at the bar was much like any other bathroom at bar, in that there were dicks drawn all over the walls. I find it tedious and offensive. You known why? Because there's no creativity, no originality. It's been done so much that it's just boring. What's that? You scratched out a picture of a dick on a hand dryer? Oh you rebel you! No one ever thought of that before! The world shudders in awe and fear at your defiant independence! A powerful statement to the world that you reject their so called values, that you walk with eyes wide open amongst the sheeple, and that your proud spirt will never be beat down! Truly, an epic piece of art. I saw a curator from MOMA out in the parking lot coming to put it in an outsider art exhibition.
Maybe they'll put a title card on it.
Dick graffiti
Unknown artist
circa 2014
Paper clip on hot air dryer
Now personally, I've written something on a bathroom wall while drunk, because well, who hasn't. In hindsight, that was pretty dumb thing to do. But in my defense, I wrote out Mark Anthony's soliloquy from act II of Julius Caesar. Which I might add I knew by heart! Ha! Of course .... we had just discussed that play that afternoon, so I guess it's not surprising. Plus, it's Shakespeare's creativity, not mine ... kind of a stupid thing to do, really. I'm not proud of myself, but at least I did something more interesting then drawing a dick. Because absolutely everyone has done that. It's passé

I've decided my new favorite hangover breakfast is eggs florentine (without bacon or ham) and a side of chili cheese fries with sour cream. Oh, and black coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.

Look, the point of hangover food is that grease cuts the alcohol. If you take out the grease, it's not really a hangover breakfast, it's just a regular breakfast after a night of drinking.
