Day 13: The Finale - Third Lynch

Postby necklessone » 16 Sep 2013, 18:17:07

The celebratory champagne is now just sitting ina bucket of water with little biits of confetti floating in it. Nick hasn't left the podcium since the start of the last round and he's looking a little worse for the wear. He clears his throat, takes a sip of water, and then starts his spiel. He sounds hoarse.

"Folks, we haven't seen a game like this in a long time. What almost became a wolf rout may actually go down to the final vote. Of course, we'll be staying here live until a victor is declared." He wipes some sweat from his brow, leaving a smear of makeup on his handkerchief. "Shall we take a look at the results?"

Aldax : 6 : Iron Clad Burrito, leiden, Visigoth, Smirker, blindsniper83, Admetus

The blue light of shame shines down on Aldax as Nick continues. "So who is Aldax? Is he a seer who escaped the wrath of the wolves only to be taken down by his own team? Or is he the third wolf in a row to be eliminated. Let's put it up on the board!"

Aldax. Wolf. The crowd eats it up. No confetti, though. You kind of miss it.

Before the celebration is over, Nick is talking again. "So, contestants, are you feeling lucky? Three wolves in a row, a block last night. Is there a full house in your picture?

"We're sorry, Mr. Burrito, but you've been mauled. And thanks to the little stunts your cousin pulled, we're going to work extra hard to make your next assignment…unpleasant."

Suddenly a claxon sounds. Nick looks around in shock. "Oh no, contestants, we're almost out of time here. You know what that means: no more prizes and lightning rounds! To speed things up, we've selected a single player to be removed early. I'm so sorry, Griffypoo."

The lights dim and a spotlight illuminates Nick.

"3 contestants, 2 wolves. What a momentum shift."

"So, contestants: who are the wolves?"

Aldax - Wolf, Lynched
Iron Clad Burrito - Contestant Jailer (Cousin of the production assistant), Mauled
Griffypoo - Removed for non-voting

Vote Locking

I'm implementing vote locking for the remainder of the game. Here's how it's going to work: when you vote, you may declare it locked. If at any point I check the thread and all players have locked votes, I will close the thread down and proceed to end of day as soon as possible. You may go back and unlock your vote, but be aware that while your vote is locked, you run the risk of me ending the day early. So make sure to get night actions in before locking votes.

If the day ends early and a wolf is lynched, I will start the final day as soon as I can (work permitting). The final day will last until all votes are locked or 24 hours from when it starts.

Good luck.

ICB was kind of expected... how long could the wolves sit by with a confirmed human in the room? But losing Griffypoo sucks, that puts us back where we were. The GM implicitly confirmed him as human by saying there are 3 humans and 2 wolves.

My vote's ready... Smirker, locked.

If people want to talk about it, I can unlock and go back through the evidence. But I think this is another easy one.

You're making it hard on me Admetus. I was thinking you're a probable human. Since you put in the work on the vote analysis and such. But this is making me rethink that. Especially as DastardlyOld Man was mauled early and suspected you and dferrantino (whom he did not name) as the most likely to be wolves.

I'll hold off on voting for now.

[e]: and just in case it's significant; I targeted leiden last night.

I didn't seer over the weekend due to forgetfulness and drunkenness.

Blind sniper came back as a contestant today though....

Smirker - 2 - Admetus (L), leiden

To liven up the day, a quartet of clowns has been brought in. Let the pie fight commence.

Not a fan of losing a practically confirmed human this close to the end due to a WOG. At least it didn't result the Wolves gaining parity so there's still a chance for us to win.

Well, redead's list is now 2/4 in getting wolves. Though I really do question his listing of blindsniper83 since Okaros was a Wolf, but so far his list seems to be pretty good. As such I'll be voting on

only a quartet?
RaveBomb making a lot of sense is how you know you're past the point of no return and that death is the only escape.

Any more and the clowns would have achieved parity, winning instantly.

Not instantly, but we can't afford to screw up the lynch, because we can't stop the maul. 2 of 3 votes needed locked on me for the wolves to not even need the maul for parity.

Ah well, twas an interesting game.

I'll go ahead and vote for Admetus -- and might as well make it locked.
