For what? The maul?

Also no one visited any of us last night.

Private votes with loss of night action or dice roll to replace the lynchee with another (failed roll means two people die)

Would just be for this night, yes? The safer route certainly seems to get rid of the night actions for a day as opposed to potentially losing two people. Especially since it's possible that two of us might be in the running. Guessing if the dice role fails the original lynchee and the person picked to be the replacement die. Else I can't figure how two people would die from losing the dice role unless he was counting the maul as part of the number of people that will die.

I can't quote the board, but the phrasing is sufficiently vague that I don't know whether it'd be the elected replacement or someone else who died. However, it implies that this is separate from the maul.

Will be on my phone only after work tonight, so let's try to make a decision before I need to put the vote in. I like the second just because it seems way more chaotic, but the first is probably the more reasonable choice.

I apparently have a two vote penalty today, due to my non-participation.

I'll read and get caught up on things once I get home this evening. Anything I should be aware of?

I've been voted as our masked representative on the council (Jaresh-Inyo, which you'll likely see logged in throughout the day), which allows me to talk to the other teams.

There's been a proposal posted to that board, which I outlined above.

Other than that, we have a bunch of powers, are immune to vote manipulation, and have a Team Power that will increase our vote by one.

I can seer tonight. So would my power be cancelled based on your option 1? If so let me know so I don't burn it needlessly. Option 2 sounds good to me.

Also , any target suggestion for tonight's seer?

And finally I [have a weapon]. Anyone have any ideas what to do with it?

To clarify, the vote is for tomorrow. Any action tonight will work, tomorrow's will potentially be blocked.

Also, the way it's worded we don't have the final say, Omega does.

Is the weapon temporary?

Random thought: San said Hellheart visited him on Night 1, Visigoth said Meta4 used his power on someone on our team. Given what we now know, it probably means he used it on San to make Hellheart appear in his dreams.

Means nothing really, but good to know.

What do you know about it? Being a weapon I'd assume a Vig shot, but who knows. Might be worth using it if it's possible to use it at night.

Some possible people to take a look at: Augenvonsauron, DastardlyOldMan, Hellheart, rekard or Mortus. Just tossing out some names though you might want to look at the people that pulled to Wasabi. Maybe try and identify any of Ryvvn's teammates.

I was actually thinking of avoiding them and looking elsewhere.
If the romulans are down by one, then they are going to be hunted by the rest and I'd expect people to start mauling /lynching that team. If I seer someone and they die right away, then it's a waste. I'd rather seer someone that is keeping quiet and likely to live a while. I'm thinking AVS, perhaps.

Well according to my role PM I "win" ties so me ending up in a tie might not be a bad thing. Though ties seem to not be good so I'm sure someone would snipe a vote to break it. Might need to pay a little attention tonight in case I need to move my vote.

And it appears that I too have a weapon based on an addendum to my role that Omega just sent. Like Rictus there's nothing more to it than I have a weapon. Perhaps it's some component of our vote manipulation protection/power?

Not sure. I don't have a weapon.

(And I was going to vote for you anyway at this point, regardless of your special ability.)

Any recommendations on who I might want to redirect attempts to? I'm not a likely target, but maybe we can catch someone fishing. (I'm leaning towards DOM.)

Kind of sucks that we're in a race between Rictus and myself at this time. Especially since if someone else doesn't get in the running I'll have to switch my vote to him.

Though since we have another whole day all sorts of things could happen between now and EOD.

Unfortunately, the late EOD makes it tricky for a lot of us to participate. But I guess that evens out for all the early EODs for the people on the West Coast we usually have.

Is it worth changing up my vote?

It's one of the challenges of these team games... There's always a significant majority (60-80%) who have no problems lynching you, especially in the early days of the game.

If you draw attention just by being an early nomination it's hard to avoid being an easy bandwagon.

Visi, Klingons want to lynch you tomorrow. Some bullshit w/r/t your avatar and the fact that you've been mentioning credits in all of your posts. They led that to a conclusion that you were a sociopath.

I suggest posting something in thread mentioning this, and make it clear that you received the information from "your representative in the council". They're all interested in hunting Sociopaths, so this will make it easy.

Please, do it quickly before I have to claim you, because the other alternative would be for me to push them to lynch you today instead to save Rictus.

I swear, if I get lynched a second time due to my avatar I'm going to hurt someone. And of course I've been mentioning credits in all of my posts since my damn avatar is gold-pressed latinum. I almost went with Ferengi RP, but decided against it so instead am just going with general latinum related things. Perhaps I'll challenge the Klingons to a fight... I mean I appear to have a weapon. Will have to look-up if there was some formal Klingon challenge name.

Just do something to let them know you know about the post, and do it quickly. Even if you literally write what you just said into the forums and amend a "based on what my representative has just told me" to it. The fact that you know what's going down on that board should be enough to stifle that line of thinking before it gets out of hand.

Will post something soonish, just checking with Omega to make sure that nothing is offlimits since nothing you said was a direct quote from the council forum. Though since this seems to be a hot item I'll post it regardless by 10:45 EST. Here's what I'll be posting:

You crazy Klingons. It's all about honor and blood wine and death. If you were to ask me that is a little bit sociopathic. Yet my representative to the leader's council has informed me that because of my avatar (really? again with the avatar crap) and my apparent obsession with gold-pressed latinum that it somehow means I've a sociopath. Look, I enjoy collecting a bit of credit here and there, but why have the latinum if there's no one to trade it with. I mean what's the point of having a gross of self-sealing stem bolts if I can't trade them to someone? Doesn't have to be latinum, but surely something better than having them just sitting around in warehouse.

Here, have some prune juice. It might loosen you up a bit.

Edit: changed time since I'll be away at 11.

This could get interesting. Since I'm going to almost have to switch to Rictus if the votes stay like this. Sure being on Ozy puts me in a tie, but I will switch my vote to save myself and moving it to Rictus would do that. Of course then people would expect Rictus to do the same. Really, not doing that would likely be a very clear sign to people that we're on the same team.

Just have to hope that some shuffling still happens and either Ozymandias or Clearasday move up in the ranks a bit so that I can either stay put or move to the other to save myself.

In a game where almost everyone is on a team, is it better to be a 5 player team with 3 known players or be a 4 person team with no known associations? Honestly not sure.

Honestly, until the Sociopaths are taken out I don't think it matters who knows our teammates. After that, tradition shows that people will slowly wittle at the membership of the largest team at the moment while taking opportune potshots.

I'm prepared to claim you as one of ours to defend you, but as San said, he can invalidate the lynch or we can use our team power to increase our votes.

I will seer tonight, so loss of night won't personally hurt me. We'd lose Visigoths over watch, plus ? . I'm sure all the other teams are doing the same math. Sociopaths would be hurt the hardest.

I'm not keen on invalidating the lynch if it's a one time use. And although I don't know how many other vote manip powers are out there, I hope that if two of us are on the same target then +2 would be enough to push them up past a tie. Currently San and I are on Clearasday

On phone so might be missing something's.

So we have to specify one of us to get the +1?

Correct.

Remember, the more you use it, the more likely it is to be discovered.

Though if we could have it a tie between us and San invalidates it I'm guessing that would mean that both of us are immune to the next lynch. Might be an option.

Really the only person I can at this time see moving my vote to is Rictus. Unless we're going to throwout any pretense of trying to not disguise that we're likely on the same team. For me to do otherwise wouldn't make much sense. I guess Ozy is currently at 4 votes so not too far so one of use could use the +1 and tie it up. I win ties so that would still make it a toss-up between Ozy and Rictus. Still would be the issue of me not moving to save myself if the votes stay more or less where they are now.

Visi I'm thinking of posting in the thread:

Visi, I won't push onto you if you stay off me. Us voting for each other just distances us from the 3 rd and 4th wagons. Deal?

(What do you think? Sound good without completely revealing our team?)

Sorry for all the questions:

1 is the discovery "after the fact"? So the manip would still work?

2. How many times is it usable per night? Can we give all 5 of our players a +1?

3. If I use it tonight to get +1, can I use it again tomorrow night? Or is it limited per person per game?

You could.

It is not limited per se, but there is definitely a number of times before it will be revealed (incremental per player and as a whole)
