TWG XCVI: Omega's Unexpected Retirement Party

Postby Ryvvn » 09 May 2016, 09:32:36

Welcome, one and all, to Omega's Unexpected Retirement Party! We are gathered here today -- or rather in a few more days -- to see off one of our greatest benefactors, a true compatriot, and one hell of a cunning, conniving wolf!

Signup here for a mostly vanilla, extended end of day, werewolf game!
(Note: I am not pulling from perpetual in thread; players must signup here.)

Day 0 will go up 5/13 or 5/14, with Day 1 expected to start 5/15 at 11:00pm Eastern.

RSVP'd:

This will be an Extended End of Day game, which means the following:
  • A day will last until all players have placed a lynch vote, or until one single player holds a majority of the total possible votes; whichever occurs first and remains for GM availability.
  • Each wolf should submit a maul choice, with maul going to the majority selection.
  • Please bold and color your votes; official retractions are not necessary in order to change your vote, but are appreciated.
  • Players may choose to abstain by voting as such; wolves may opt to no maul by voting as such.
  • Once a day has ended, game threads will be locked as the day is changed over; a day will not be locked unless I am confident I can roll over to the next day quickly (players will be publicly notified if I run into anything which will substantially delay a day change).
  • No players may communicate with each other via PM (unless a specific special role allows for it).
  • Players may not quote any GM PMs; paraphrasing and lying are allowed and totally encouraged though!
  • The game ends when either all wolves are eliminated, or when wolves reach parity with villagers.
*Depending on the number of players, I may include one or more special roles; if I do, I will announce which roles.

Hold on a minute! Are really on the same page here? There's several different versions of Luna in fandom and whatever, and I'd only support someone who like the right version! Any right thinking person knows that moonstruck had the best version of Luna:

I'd hope we can avoid any My Little Pony internecine conflicts from people that think trash tier versions of Luna (*shudder* gamer Luna *shudder*) are the best version.

Just to clarify - Luna's one of those horses, right?

I'm in, if only so that I can say things like that on a recurring basis.

Can you clarify what kind of extended day you'll be using, Ryvvn? Just because it's not common enough to be standard yet.

I will add details to the second post when I get a chance, but basically the same as I've used in the STGs, wherein the day cannot end until all players vote or a majority of votes are on one particular player and then also at my availability.

What's the plot?

Anyone else feel we've been a little pony-centric of late?

I will play. Also I'm vigging Visigoth. And Okaros for allowing day 1 vigs. #nogrudge

For a theme I suggest wrestling, the surrealist world of Salvador Dali or the adventures inside the Cursed Wily Wonka Factory of Chocolate Flesh.

That's um.. well I don't think you did? You sent a PM to the email group, not an email. I think the sending of email to the email group is something you do from the admin panel (it's been a while), and you can probably find instructions in the GM forum.

On the other hand, it is yielding some additional signups.

I'm kind of curious to see how Ryvvn's take on a "meta"-themed game plays out, particularly seeing how it follows on the heels of my own offering..

A switch back to Raymond may be in order, though. Have to send Omega off in the proper style, after all.

we haven't had a turnout like this since Mama Zarkowski's funeral.

Of course, she didn't stay dead, but I'm changing the subject.

Nobody ever really gets killed off in comic books. Omega is perfectly safe, well, at least as long as he's not peter parker's uncle, but other then that ... totally safe.
