Not clear yet if options apply to today or tomorrow.

If it's today, Option 2 would seem to contradict the "team with most members who lynch a spy" gets a reward provision.

Omega just said tomorrow's lynch. I don't think that's convenient for either team. We should attempt #2 and get Hellheart lynched there? We can argue that we don't want Hellheart to know we know.

Honestly, I think it's very unfair that the Sociopath can be lynched in a private forum that he cannot vote in.

In fact, I suggest that the GM remove Option 2 from consideration.

We can vote None of the Above too.

I will put Mortus under my cloak of invisibility.

Also just in case we should be prepared to snipe in case a genius vigs Blind in the last minute.

Option 1 is kind of interesting to us because you may be guaranteed to win because you might be the only player left with a Weapon.

Not saying we should try to get you lynched, just that it might give us an extra buffer in case you get in lynch trouble.

There were three Spy actions last night:

(1) A Spy tried to kill me;

(2) A Spy seered Okaros as a non-Spy;

(3) A Spy seered Visigoth as a non-Spy.

Mortus, if you had to guess, which two actions do you think the other teams' spies most likely attempted?

(Without of course saying whether you are a Spy.)

Hey Ozy, I think the reduced spy activity in the weekend was due to dferrantino's absence.

Also I think your role is kinda OP for the late game, but I can't complain since your role is in my team.

Also, do we really want Hellheart dead?

He can't hurt you and whichever of us you protect, so doesn't it make sense for us to keep him alive so that he can kill other players?

I think that sooner or later he might shoot at you. If our spy hits a spy today and we are confident tomorrow that our spy will hit another we should lynch Hellheart.

But consider the end game-- if the other three teams announce all of their members on the Leaders Council, then they can figure out who we are by process of elimination, and take us out one by one.

So I think the better strategy is to keep Hellheart in the game, since 2/3 of us will be immune to his night kills.

Our priority should be also to kill the other spies. If they die, there might be a powerful enough powerip to carry us to endgame. Also have you seen the player list? There was no maul yesterday. Either it failed, someone missed it or the mechanic is different.

There was no Night 5 Maul victim either.

I'm not sure what the deal is with the maul-- the GM told us on Night 1 that ...

So the most likely actions yesterday (assuming my current best guesses are correct) were:

(1) Federation Dferrantino tried to Vig me

(2) Cardassian Spy seered Romulan Okaros

(3) Klingon Furin/CAD seered Federation Visigoth

because why would dferrantino seer his teammate?

I am posting right now on the Council Board to lessen the control Okaros is trying to hold on the board. I feel we need to shake that board a little so it can help us in the future.

I am not liking how he is demanding information without providing more of his own and still accusing others from keeping information. He says he can't disclose more information? Well we can't say more either then.

The fewer players we have, the more powerful the Council becomes. If the other factions feel they can trust Romulans more, things will be harder to us specially if there are more special events. Basically I am just diminishing his influence on the Council.

It helps us to look good and gain better influence.

But no one's going to trust us as long as we have the most players.

And I feel like you might be giving away with your writing style that you're a Cardassian.

That's why I've tried to post using as few words as possible.

Re: Night 7

Postby Ozymandias » 16 Oct 2013, 12:41:54

Anyway, our goal is pretty simple-- to achieve parity after Night 8.

Which means we need to be 3 of the 6 living players remaining (note that San does not affect parity).

There are currently 11 living players, so assuming Blindsniper and Hellheart get lynched, then we need three more non-Cardassian kills.

If Mortus fires at dferrantino tonight AND tomorrow, then that guarantees dferrantino's death (since dferr can only protect himself once).

Our Night 8 maul should give us one more kill-- which we can use on Furin or CAD to try kill off another Spy.

So we just need to hope that someone mauls or night kills a non-Cardassian on Night 7 or Night 8.

If that happens, victory is ours.

EDIT: And if something goes wrong, and one of us dies, then killing dferrantino and a Klingon should result in our gaining TWO new team powers, which hopefully will be enough to give us the win after Night 9.

I am not going to entangle into a discussion with him. If we say nothing, it looks like we have more to hide and that's bad enough being the biggest faction. A few words can help in the long run.

it's like when you lead the discussion. Everyone knows you may be plotting something but they follow you either way a lot of times. A nudge here and there is needed to remind the others that Romulus is no angel.

I agree with your points. If there's a night kill today, it might be very important. Also, I think only the Klingon seer is left. Assuming there is one seer per faction.

Mortus, I think you should send the following anonymous message tonight to Hellheart:

"dferrantino and FurinMirado are both accused spies. If you want to survive the next lynch, you should vote for one of them."

This way, in case we want to keep Hellheart alive, we might have a bit of flexibility.

Since I still have the broadcast available today, any thoughts on what I should have thrown out there? Does the council already know fully of the existence of the spies? If not, seems like a good time to throw that out there and cause a little internal strife.

Well, the leaders council knows about them, but that doesn't mean there whole team does.

You could say something like:

"The Cardassians claim that dferrantino is a Spy.

The Federation claims that FurinMirado is a Spy.

The Romulans confirm the Cardassian claim that Hellheart is a Sociopath."

Not sure if we should include the last statement, but it would be kind of fun to see Hellheart scramble.

If it can be assumed correctly, the Federation probably already knows spies are no threat to themselves. Romulans don't know that and as such think they are a threat. Also, DOM is probably wanting to gather info to see who belongs to who.

This spy thing is like a red herring. They are hidden, but they are not bad for their factions.

The threat of him being lynched tomorrow would be a pretty good catalyst to make him use his offensive power then. Perhaps something along the lines of "Hellheart, your role makes perfect sense, being that robots have no need for moral responsibility".

blindsniper, if you read the Leaders Council board, at the end of Day 6, you'll see that the Romulans were the ones who first outed you as the necromancer.

And DOM just revealed in his Day thread post that he's a Romulan.

Since Augen was the one who likely seered Blind, I think DOM is distrusting that vision and will use it as an argument. Also it is almost a given that AVS seered Ozy as Romulan which contributes to DOM's paranoia so he is probably thinking justifiably that spies are a secret independent faction.

We could probably be thinking in a similar way if we didn't have Garak in this team.
