Game Over - Two out of Twenty-Four ain't bad

The third Host entered the auditorium. He strode to the stage. By now there were a significant amount of bodies piling up inside, as nobody had made any effort to remove them. He was escorted by a large troop of interns all holding microphones and cameras. Pictures were taken, backdrops were set up. And through it all, the two pairs ignored them. They focused only on each other. They'd been standing like this all day since Mister E. Meat had left them all. Wasabi and Dferrantino stood tensed and waiting beside each other opposite Ryvvn and Stigmata who seemed equally ready to pounce if even an ounce of weakness was detected.
The stage-hands began to let two ropes down from the rafters. Soon two nooses were hanging at eye-level. But who would fill them?
"Welcome ladies and gentlemen, viewers and forced participants, to the final evening of the hit-show...
Are You In Love With A Wolf That Wants To Rip Your Guts Out?
Today we will answer that question. With a resounding Yes. But will they be lynched? Prepare to find out.
Now I know tensions are high right now at home, with many sad that they're not going to be able to follow such a spectacle again after tonight. But as sure as I live right now, I promise that I'll be bringing this show right back to you for another season next year. We've already lined up our next village of chumps.
I think the contestants would like to take a minute to thank the fans at home for tuning in religiously and supporting the show. They sure as hell couldn't have got all this way without the ratings all you viewers provided. We'd have killed them all long ago without your support. So we wanted to say that we love you, the fans. Isn't that right Dferrantino?"
Wasabi turns slowly and takes the microphone from the Host. Without pausing it is snapped over his leg and one half is thrust back into the Host's still outstretched hand and straight through it. "I've had enough of you not taking our love seriously. I'm going to make sure it's the last thing you ever do."
Three things happen at once. Stigmata and Ryvvn launch into action, Dferrantino roars and transforms into a Werewolf, and Wasabi picks the spluttering host up and in a move reminding everyone of a recently deceased wrestler, slams him into the ground head-first.
Ryvvn feints to the left, drawing a terrifying Dferrantino after him whilst Stigmata quickly grabs onto one of the hanging nooses and swings at the momentarily distracted Wolf. He lands on his back and the loop is passed over Dferrantino's head. But his windpipe being slowly constricted does nothing to stop Dferrantino from clawing Stigmata off and swiping him with a crash to the floor. But in doing so his footing is sacrificed, and Dferrantino falls off the stage, the rope snapping taught and brutally crushing his neck further. Yet a wolf's neck is tougher than that of a Human counterpart, and he continues to hold onto life.
Ryvvn surveys the situation. Punching and then grabbing a camera from an intern that had got too close, he places himself centre-stage, between his downed Lover and the choking Werewolf. But an unknown hand finds his neck and he is forced to the ground. Wasabi stands behind him, one half of a microphone stand in his hand and resting dangerously against Ryvvn's exposed neck.
"I've got him my beautiful Wolf. I'll be right with you to free you from that infernal thing in a minute. But first, what shall I do with him? Should I impale him or would that be too quick? I want to send Stigmata a message that no-one attacks my lover. Not even if you're a Wolf. They're just being mean to you right? You aren't responsible for anyone's deaths. You're just misunderstood."
Dferrantino's face is turning blue but he nods furiously and continues to try to swipe at the extremely claw-resistant noose. Wasabi takes no notice of his pain. Surprisingly, the fact that his lover is a Werewolf seems, to Wasabi, to be all the more reason to love him.
"I always knew we were special my little Dfairytino. Now we're going to end this show. We're going to be famous."
The cameramen step even closer, preparing to eagerly take snaps of the final moments of the show. But Ryvvn seizes the moment. With shut eyes he raises the camera still in his hands, and takes a point-blank snap of his captor's face. Wasabi is momentarily blinded and Ryvvn wriggles free, spinning, and punches the Wolf's lover in the face. Wasabi goes down unconscious.
Stigmata opens his eyes and shakes his head to clear it of the pain. He looks up and around to find Wasabi and Dferrantino hanging side-by-side from the long ropes, both struggling to breath, but with their hands not reached to their necks, but instead clasping each other's tightly. Ryvvn stands on the stage above them. Both the dying Wolf and the dying Human struggle to each other into an embrace. But their strength has left them. In a moment their hands fall away from each other and rest limply at their side's.
Stigmata climbs onto the stage and embraces Ryvvn. A sea of interns and stage-hands surge forward intent on interviewing both. In a rush they are carried to victory together out of that bloody and nightmarish room which had acted as their tomb for the past nine days. The Final Host is dead, and the programme and order seems to have died with him, but nobody cares. For the wolves have all died too.
Humans win.
Dferrantino has been lynched. He was a Lover. He was the final wolf.
Wasabi has died of a broken heart. He was a Lover. Though his taste in true love was questionable, he remained a Human.
Ryvvn has survived. He was a Lover.
Stigmata has survived. He was a Lover.
Through it all, they were both Human aligned.
This game has ended. The Wolves are extinct. Thanks for playing everyone, I hope you had fun playing, I certainly enjoyed running such a zany setup.
