Going with Simple_Simon for the simple reason that those animated cats are killing the battery in my phone when trying to read the threads. Obviously a plot to take over by stifling the flow of information.

*Intern Smirker adjusts his vote to reflect the current standings*

In my mind, there was two probable motives for the wolves going after MEM.
One, that he mentioned the voices and such (but I don't think he was alone in implying there was an oddness around him).
Two, that he voted for a wolf (simple_simon).
Three, that he voted for someone the wolves wanted us to think was a wolf.

Perhaps it was only for the first reason they targeted him; but I think one of the other bits was also a factor; and of those the more likely is the second option (IMO).

But, there is not quite enough traction on that at this time; and his record can damn him yet if he is a wolf in cat's clothing.

Ozymandias rendered moot[[kudos again on the Ozymandias lego btw - I think I forgot to mention it before]] strikes me as more suspicious; especially as he is jumping onto the bandwagon of CAD - with his penalty vote.

If I don't get back in time I'm comfortable leaving my vote on Ozy; I don't buy his excuse of his vote for penalty votes early on. While I agree with it overall; I disagree on doing it on D2.

(( re: Penalty votes. I'm in the middle on this.

Voting for someone who isn't here isn't a *great* play, but it's pretty far down the scale of 'dickishness'.

Stigmata hasn't posted at all this game.... not the Day 1 thread, not the Day 0 thread, not the sign-up thread.

If stigmata (or Clearasday) shows up and he already has a vote or two on him, hopefully it will motivate them to at least post in the thread.

At this point in the game they (Clearasday or stigmata) can save themselves simply by showing up and voting for another bandwagon.))

Interesting reaction Ozy. And here I thought you might just be pushing buttons... :)

It seems likely either Ozy or Omega are Wolves. It's too early to say if they both are; but as Ozy wants to be meta-game by seeing when people are on; I don't feel bad about doing the same when Omega has voted on him - especially on D2.

I disagree that online status is "meta"-- to me, it's part of the actual game.

For example, I intentionally stay visible in order to dissuade players from voting for me at EOD.

If players don't want other players to know they're online, all they have to do is hide themselves.

I'll vote for Smirker. Sorry, it took me a while because I wanted to reference the posts I was calling wolfy, but then quoting them made the post stupid-long. I'll just put links instead.

viewtopic.php?f=59&t=436&start=0#p20461
Starts off with a post about a Day 0 seering. I agree with Simon, this is silly.

viewtopic.php?f=59&t=436&start=50#p20563
Then is a vote justification for Simon, and then a vote for Ozy. Kind of a blatant wolf post style.

viewtopic.php?f=59&t=436&start=50#p20581
Last post I just favor Ozy's interpretation over yours.

Players voting for penalized players with no vote history stinks a bit. It is too convenient or just shows a lazy disposition to actually vote usefully. I can believe the latter a bit on dferrantino, but Ozy I don't know. Also watching who is online and making a decision just by that is flawed. It almost always means anything but a player just glancing for a game and seeing how it goes. That they forget to vote is another story and is not a guarantee of anything. If they come to vote at the end of the game then just means the initial theory ends up wrong.

It is pretty bad to just decide the vote on a wog or who is online.

Interesting that so many people decide to vote for me when I have a penalty vote. You wouldnt happen to jave thought you could take advantage of me would you Ozy? You really deserve a vote however I dont think dferrantino should so easily get away from following onto me either.

Its annoying that I cant post later on to react to what happens and how those yet to appear vote, as I'd much rather have that knowledge before I vote. Anyway, I'm a human again and lynvhing me will brung only woe. I shall contribute more ince tomorrow is over.

Um, okay, but what I was going to say is

Ozymandias wrote:If players don't want other players to know they're online, all they have to do is hide themselves.

Ahem. Hide themselves... yes. Interesting concept, Hiding one's self. It implies there's something to hide. Like that Brown Stone Spire. It's Night Vale's newest spire, built in the night by unknown agents, or aliens, or animals, or (as some would have you believe) just our collective imagination.

Ozymandias wrote:Obviously I have an ulterior motive

Ahem, please let me finish. The Brown Stone Spire is a malevolent entity beyond primitive human concepts such as morality, and it tempts the most desperate citizens of Night Vale, offering solutions to their problems in exchange for terrible, unspeakable costs. The Brown Stone Spire has a slogan, but it cannot be pronounced. The Brown Stone Spire is brought to you by Wendy's.

I cannot abide Wendy's. Normally, I am a fan of the redheads, but something about that hollow-eyed caricature reminds me of death incarnate. I have to be honest, I was wondering why you showed up as active in multiple threads simultaneously last night near end of day. I thought for a moment you might be multi-tabbing it. And then, I was offered a way to know for sure:

Vig shot Ozymandius

I looked upon his works and despaired. Or perhaps it was just indigestion. Either way, there would be more... in a bit,

VIG SHOT CONFIRMED

Accounts are rolling in that Ozymandias has been detained by the Sheriff's Secret Police. One minute Ozymandias was expounding upon the merits of hiding and the next he was surrounded by men wearing face-obscuring leather balaclavas, short capes and wielding blow darts and daggers. These are, of course, the traditional armaments of the Sheriff's Secret Police.

So is Ozymandias a Resident? Or a so-called Werewolf? Hopefully we will find out soon.

It has now been revealed that Ozymandias is a member of these so-called Werewolves. He immediately confessed upon realizing they were out of doughnuts. This came as a disappointment to members of the Sheriff’s Secret Police who had been studying their Level 7 Inverse Peruvian Interrogation techniques all morning.

So, if Ozy is a wolf, one might suppose Smirker wasn't, since they were fighting. Zark, why'd you shoot Ozy then before even getting the results, vote for Smirker?

Collecting Ozy's votes:

Day 1:
Voted ICB -- No later vote change.
[+] vote tally was
dferrantino - (2) - Ryvvn, sphenodont
Hellheart - (2) - Iron Clad Burrito, That PJ
Visigoth - (2) - Smirker, DastardlyOldMan
Admetus - (1) - Omega
BlindSniper83 - (1) - simple_simon
DastardlyOldMan - (1) - Admetus
fuzzmz - (1) - meta4
Iron Clad Burrito - (1) - rekard
Omega - (1) - San
Ozymandias - (1) - Nitestorm
San - (1) - fuzzmz
simple_simon - (1) - Mister E. Meat
sphenodont - (1) - dferrantino
stigmata - (1) - Hellheart

Day 2:
Voted Nitestorm
[+] vote tally was
Clearasday - (1) - Penalty x1
Blindsniper83 - (1) - rekard
Ozymandias - (1) - Nitestorm
Rictus - (1) - Penalty x1
simple_simon - (1) - Smirker
Smirker - (1) - simple_simon
stigmata - (1) - Penalty x1
twdog - (1) - Penalty x1

Voted Clearasday
[+] vote tally was
dferrantino - (2) - Iron Clad Burrito, DastardlyOldMan
Smirker - (2) - simple_simon, That PJ
stigmata - (2) - Penalty x1, Rictus
7-zark-7 - (1) - San
BlindSniper83 - (1) - rekard
Iron Clad Burrito - (1) - dferrantino
Nitestorm - (1) - Ozymandias
Ozymandias - (1) - Nitestorm
simple_simon - (1) - Smirker
That PJ - (1) - Ryvvn
Clearasday - (1) - Penalty x1
Rictus - (1) - Penalty x1
twdog - (1) - Penalty x1
Visigoth - (1) - Admetus

Voted Smirker -- An apparent retaliation vote for Smirker's vote on Ozy.
[+] vote tally was
Clearasday - 4 - Penalty x1, Ozymandias, meta4, dferrantino
Ozymandias - 3 - Nitestorm, Omega, Smirker
dferrantino - 2 - Iron Clad Burrito, DastardlyOldMan
Smirker - 2 - simple_simon, That PJ
simple_simon - 2 - Smirker, Simple_Simon
stigmata - 2 - Penalty x1, Rictus
7-zark-7 - 1 - San
BlindSniper83 - 1 - rekard
Ryvvn - 1 - fuzzmz
That PJ - 1 - Ryvvn
Visigoth - 1 - Admetus
Rictus - 1 - Penalty x1
twdog - 1 - Penalty x1

Not a lot of time to draw conclusions. The big question is whether Smirker vs Ozy today is a wolf-wolf or wolf-human argument. I'd like to hear from Zark because it seems like you didn't think you needed to know what Ozy was for sure!

Hasn't Voted (4): Nitestorm, Omega, Sphenodont, Stigmata

If Stigmata does not show up with at least one post I will WOG him and let Hellheart return in his place. As it was pointed out, stigmata has not posted since sign-ups started and was only added due to the perpetual list.

I'm playing by gut this time. And I'd say we got results.

Indeed - should be interesting either way, no?

Nabbed a wolf vigilante. That was really good although lucky. Using metagaming as a reason for the action was bad as I was saying before. It could have been backfired. Let's see where this goes.

While I have a chance I thought I'd chime in on impressions.
If I do go down hopefully it'll be good for analysis. Zark seems reliable to me as it's hard for me to justify a wolf Vigi killing another wolf Vigi - especially as pay was only getting moderate heat so far. Therefore, I'm comfy thinking he is not a secret furry of the canine persuasion.

I don't know that I'm willing to go there. You're proposing that the wolves had two up for lynch, again, and Ozy/Smirker decided to make a fight out of it. Historically, that hasn't worked well, especially with Ozy involved. I think I'm going to decide it's more likely Smirker as blatant wolf was a wrong read.

And the alternate wagons right now are penalty-vote enabled, or I could stack my vote on dferrantino for a one-sided lynch. Ugh.

I'd rather put my vote on a baby wagon. Blindsniper83.

Two wolf vigs in the same team is unlikely although it would depend on the number of total vigs. Seeing how all vigs can only be done during the day, wolf vigs would need to be very strategic on how to use them. Killing a fellow wolf vig is a feasible idea but unlikely at this point in time. Zark is likely on the human side due to that vig shot.

Khoshekh has had to leave many scratches on the wall, and then scratches over scratches; claws and dusty walls may be rudimentary tracking devices, but they serve well enough for a stationary's stationery.

DastardlyOldMan

[+] OOC
I don't like Smirker being evicted so early, and I have my doubts about dfer being a wolf. It's a throwaway vote, but I can't pick between those two. And personally, I think voting on a penalty-laden player is bad sport, esp this early.
And I'll post spoiler text for my "number station" posts starting tomorrow.

**Steps out of his role and puts on the Admin hat**

Look, I can appreciate everyone complaining about metagame this and metagame that. But here's the thing. All the hard work in protecting yourself from the metagame has been done for you already. All you need to do is hide your online status, and there's a sticky post that tells you exactly how to do it. (Yes, we even did that for you.) If anyone remains visible, and therefore subject to Ozy's strategery, at this point I'm going to say two things:

1, It's legal. It's fair game. It's imperfect, but it's fair game.
2, it's your own damned fault if you get nabbed for it, if you choose poorly for it, or if you let it affect you at all.

This is one point where I'm going to put my damned foot down. Quit harping on the shit. For reals.

Thank you.

**Doffs the admin hat, drops the mic, and walks out of the room**
