Yeah, I'm going to explain that soon by claiming to be a Special.

But should we have a Wolf vote for me, and then make the claim, and have the Wolf switch off?

Or should I make the claim first so that you can justify not voting for me at all?

I don't think being quiet is a factor. Things are very calm right now so no need to talk much to be honest. Voting for a penalized player with no history from the start is more suspicious I would say.

It's okay-- it's not that obvious a mispost.

If you follow up with an actual vote for Smirker then it won't look too bad.

Maybe revenge vote dferrantino?

Trying to set up today to kill Smirker or dferr, vig Omega, and then get myself vigged tomorrow.

That should give you a fair bit of Human cred tomorrow, because I'm the one who started the bandwagon against you.

Sorry, I was rushing to make up the followup post, so it didn't look unnatural. Here's roughly my original post. I didn't save the exact text because FIX IT GOD DAMN.
Admetus wrote:Jeez, Smirker just keeps sounding wolfy. Maybe I should just go with it, analysis be damned.

Then I adjusted it to this, hoping it was similar enough that it looks fine.
Admetus wrote:Jeez, Smirker, you just keep sounding wolfy. Maybe I should just go with it, analysis be damned.

I didn't want to go to four with my vote, but I mean, really.

When I post, I will frequently ninja edit to tack on a line or two at the end, so hopefully that covers for me. The first part I picked the minimum edit to make it human-thread-okay.

(Just like this time where I edit to add that I think the original was out in the thread for about 10-20 seconds.)

I also noticed the "I'm not a human again." I think we could chalk it up to CAD attempting to draw a maul, if he were actually a human and said that.

Son of a gun. Zark was in fact special. Ozy will not get a chance to fire.

And with me looking like a pretty obvious wolf here, not sure where I should move. I may want to go to CAD since sacrificing me right now wouldn't gain us anything.

If that was the reason for the vigilante shot, it is a dumb one and should be fixed if possible. It is one of the most stupid reasons to shoot someone.

Ehh, I'm not really complaining-- I did start the whole "online" thing.

I just don't understand how he actually knew I was active in more than one thread?

I'm not sure, sometimes different theme settings show different information. The default one doesn't include this, I don't think, but prosilver does:

Code: Select all

Who is online

But I don't know of anything specific that would let anyone see that.

I think that has to be cleared up somehow. Because if humans can somehow see the posts of wolves, then we are all in danger.

Also if he actually did that, it means he is trying to exploit the game through unfair means and should be woggable. If he actually could do that and see where you were active, he should have reported it to the GM to address the issue as no one should be able to see member's actions or activity on different threads. If he can see Ozy, he can see other players and he exploited a flaw in player assignments or something.

So I don't know what he actually means.

I doubt we're in danger. Ozymandias doesn't "hide online status," I don't know of any other person who doesn't have that set. Even the newbies.

What I mean is that he shouldn't be able to see other people's activity even if you don't hide your online status. What if only the wolves can be seen with that in this game? Furin I think you should confirm that with Zark because if true it was an unfair hit to the wolves. Also should help to have a reminder that if you are metagaming, keep it to yourself. There is a sticky addressing that situation. It makes the game worse.

Since Ozy is a wolf and Zark is an almost guaranteed human by nabbing the wolf vig, I think we should go for a sure thing.

Let's maul Omega since he voted for Ozy and it's not easy to vote him since this vig shot gives him cred.

Zark can wait until tomorrow or later since he is likely to be guarded today if the GA is online.

Well unless Omega's vote for Admetus on day 1 is seen as a threat in the future, mauling Omega should be the right choice today, especially if he doesn't come back to vote.

Good with Omega as well. If 7-Zark-7 had waited until later I could see switching to him in the hopes of the GA not having time to switch, but at this point I say we stick with it. Might take a day or two to get him since there's always that was he or wasn't he protected tonight and the timing. Maybe we'll get lucky again and Omega is the GA and he did switch to protect 7-Zark-7.

Eh, my wolf game has been sub-par this round. I'm thinking if I'm around Day 5 and things are going well, we should sacrifice me. I don't think I'll make a good end-game wolf. Rekard and Ryvvn are better set up for that, and Visigoth is a perennial favorite there.

Fine with me. I reserve the right to switch when new information comes in! I think everyone who is online should be thinking about what Ozy-as-wolf changes for them. There's quite a bit of sitting still that seems just silly.
