Night 9: Not So Crazy Now

Postby necklessone » 29 Apr 2014, 18:08:59

In preparation for replacing Visigoth with a Blank, you return to your secret headquarters to pull his DNA to create the duplicate.

The thing is, you can’t find a sample for him. Despite him living in town since the invasion started there’s nothing. Damn those crazy straws he always uses!

Visigoth is Basil and is immune to conversion. If you desire, you can skip any conversion attempt for an unblockable maul on him.

Well damn. Round 10 is our last chance and it will be from a smaller pool.

We might still get them to lynch Visigoth or we can just maul him on Night 11.

Necklessone, I don't know what you meant. Clarifications...

Q. Does that mean he is unmaulable otherwise?

... Well, that's the only question for now. Further questions depend on this answer.

Furin, you have to stay alive. Role claim the moment you sniff serious trouble.

I cannot do this alone.

Hellheart is going to push Rictus, but conventional wisdom in my private board says Ravebomb or I were good conversion candidates last night. I might be in trouble. We'll see what happens. I am going to nudge on Rictus and antipater.

But in the morning.

Good night.

He's absolutely maulable on Night 11 and later. The clause in there was to make sure if you absolutely needed to eliminate him for some reason in the early game you would have an option.

OK, I feel better.

Furin, he is the night 11 maul. We need a third body in here, and as long as he stays in the shadows I will be content to leave him be. Thoughts?

Yeah, he's good for the Night 11 maul.

I will be very busy over the next few days so I wont be posting much. I'll try to pop in and advise when I can. If I can, I'll keep an eye on the vote totals today and if I'm in danger I'll role claim.

Careful! If he gets lynched and revealed as immune to conversion they're going to look to the person that suggested it.

Should I go before you, Hellheart should be an easy death. Smirker was, until he killed Ozymandias.

Ok, how do we handle the game today? Spread out, or stick together?

This is hellhearts game, BTW, necklessone gimped it slightly from the coin toss.

Also necklessone - can we post our decision here, or do you require a PM?

Okay, 3 minutes before I have to get back to work.

I'm thinking that, without outside forces, the spread will be pretty even. Maybe even 4-4-4, although I doubt it. I'm assuming necklessone will use RNG if there's a tie. There are a lot of possibilities for a tie. The most even spread that does not contain a tie would be 5-4-3, I believe.

Now consider that if the Humans spread out evenly but we vote together, the Human spread might be 4-3-3. Two of us together would make it the most chosen option.

And I'm out of time already. I think we should spread our votes. I was going to take the Keep Looking option. I'm thinking it's the least attractive option, psychologically. Or I'm over-thinking this.

Has anyone in your forum mentioned which game options they're going to choose?

Ack, now I'm past due. Curse you necklessone the platypus! *shakes fist in feigned anger*

Ravebomb has said that he's selecting that option, but that's all I have right now.

I vote alley.

Beware of voting visigoth. Possible honeypot, my board is watching the fall-out.

Here's a crazy idea that just might work: Can I block our own maul?
