As promised here's the posts in order that I misconstrued from the Friends & Family board...

sphenodont wrote:Okay, Gog is having lucid moment....

So for those of us who didn't start as Network, what are the rules and roles at play? There isn't anything here about how conversion works and whatnot.

Anyway, I was kind of expecting to find Meta4 here. Rave, not so much. I thought Admetus was a convert, if not a starter.

I started the fight today, replacing the normal events. In addition to that, I also get a vig shot as part of the brawl. (One time ability, but I had to key it up before what happened yesterday. I wanted to knock out one of the twins, to try to clear the air for the human team.)

I think our best chance will be to get Antipater, Ravebomb or Rictus lynched.

My plan to test Ravebomb might make some people shy about voting for him since he was telling the truth about his ability. Although it should be pointed out that just because he was telling the truth doesn't mean he's actually human. If he's Network then it's just a win-win for him. He gets everyone to dog pile on him, which makes vote analysis difficult, or we split like we did and end up lynching a human.

Regarding Antipater, less than optimal play is not a guarantee of humanity. In fact it could just be a way to Vig a human and get human cred at the same time.

I can't remember the reason for people believing that Rictus is human. Is he part of one of the boards?

I've not seen particular arguments for rictus being human
, except that HH seemed to think he was. I'll review those posts later, but I'd let others make the move on him.

Regardless, if we all work together to snipe at EOD on a non wolf with one person; we'll have this game sewed up. Also, if rave spoke truely on his power he'll have a vote penalty today (IIRC).

On the family board, rave said for his power he has a penalty vote equal to the number of votes he had to drop. Then he said he was keeping the upper limit to himself.

Best case is that it's a 1:1 ratio and we can all dogpile on him at EOD and win (seeing as he had to shed 2 votes to avoid lynch yesterday).

Worst case is that it's a ratio like DOMs for people saying 'robot'.

Barring another Vigi we're looking to be in good shape right now - IMO

Just to be on the safe side.

He wasn't until last night. He's human because... um... shit. maybe Hellheart said so?

I am holding my vote until late tomorrow. Going to see a ballet tomorrow afternoon, then maybe dinner? Will deffo be home well before EOD, though. Don't mention that in the day thread. :)

I wouldn't go after Rictus unless there are already 2 votes on him. People have been taking it for granted that he's human, maybe because Hellheart mentioned it, and bringing him up as possible Network would open up the possibility for ICB as well. I would like people to continue to take ICB's humanity for granted.

Rictus seems like an easy choice for maul but I'd like to think about it some more in case one of us does end up lynched today. I want to make tomorrow easier. People are really reluctant to lynch Antipater. If that opinion continues through today I feel like we should just maul him. He's almost as good as confirmed human right now.

So are we just going to pile on Ravebomb at the end? Seems like the thing to do, esp with his penalty votes. At absolute worst, if he has penalty votes, we could force a coinflip. Otherwise, we control the game.

Of course, others voting for him makes it better.

I would say we try and dogpile Rave at the end; but I want to see at least some others either spread out on more than 1 alternate player (to avoid confllip) - or someone else voting for rave.

Spheno voting on rave though seems nigh worthless as he has been flipping votes around a ton; so we can count on him staying there.

the day thread is so so quiet.. but, if no activity by this afternoon I'll say a little something; and hell with the implied mexican standoff (i'm viewing the silence like everyone is standing around waiting to shoot people).

I'm also being quiet because for all we know - Antipater has another vig shot - and i don't think I've seen a single claim on Rictus's power.

That's 3 votes on Ravebomb (including mine) and 1 vote on Antipater. So lets just play it cool. Don't post anything that could make them challenge their current thinking.

If we do this right, we can just gradually put all our votes on Ravebomb (which will look more natural), and then his penalty votes should do the rest. If Antipater and Rictus don't move their votes then that's even better. So lets make sure we don't accidentally give them a reason to second-guess that vote.

Yep. However, i fully suspect the Rictus and sphenodont votes are just probes to see who jumps. Especially Rictus's.

I will check back in an hour. Piling on Ravebomb wouldn't look good yet.

I may toss a vote on one of the alternates, just because. To keep it close.

Yeah, that's a good idea. I just needed to get my vote in because I'm heading out here in a minute. I will likely be back before EOD but I don't want to risk it.

Looks like we're at:

Current vote tally

Ravebomb (3): Antipater, FurinMirado, Smirker
Antipater (2): sphenodont, ICB
Rictus (1): Ravebomb
FurinMirado (1): Rictus

Basically they're giving us full reign for shenanigans at this point. I expect more vote changes in the next half our, and not just ICB's.

Agreed. hopefully we'll get 2 vote penalties on rave - and I found it odd he didn't mention that earlier either.

I did my list as a human would do (and for credibility - in case), but going to see what I can wring out of the vote record. AS hopefully my interruptions should be over.

Keep in mind the worst case scenario regarding Ravebomb:

(1) He might be lying about penalty votes
(2) He might still be able to reduce votes to a certain extent

We'll want to make sure that the runner-up lynch candidate is not one of us.

Edit1: In other words, ICB might want to stay on Antipater. But it all depends on how votes move around in the next 25 minutes.
