Yeah, I'm beginning to regret providing Omega with the Big MacIntosh Red color, that's a pretty eye-searing combination.

Of course. Any suggestions? We we're trying to keep with the pony colored theme for the various text tags, but I agree it doesn't look the best.

I can provide shades of pony if someone has a good general color to use.

There are way more than 50 shades of pony.
RaveBomb is 263 of them by himself.

Re: Feature Request/General Problems Thread
I suggest using the code be a player requirement for the upcoming game, no sense having it if only some use it and some don't. I also suggest a rule stating each player is allowed only one "vote block" per day (unless a special rule supercedes this), and retractions are now performed by simply removing the vote code from an earlier vote post. That would save the trouble of having to explain "retracted, was so-and-so" or even the need for strikeouts.

Re: Feature Request/General Problems Thread
I have already changed the voting procedure in my upcoming game to require usage of the tags.
However, I think the second is problematic. We don't want to lose vote history so I think if you change your vote, you should still have to identify who you voted for (with a retraction) but with the elimination of the [vote] tag.

Re: Feature Request/General Problems Thread
Yeah, I was thinking purple as well. Though it does blend a little bit with the background, but at least it's not eye searing. Or maybe yellow? Kind of using Rainbow Dash for the color picks for it. The blue from her body as the background and then the text as one of her hair colors.
Could also go with Rarity purple for the background and white for the text.
Also I feel so wrong about trying to figure out color schemes based on MLP.

Not contrasty enough. Maybe blue isn't the right background? Or is there a pony yellow?
Or worse, are we over thinking this?

Fluttershy is yellow, but would probably want to stay away from too bright of colors.

Should yellow be the background perhaps? With blue the text?

Maybe just striking the vote block would be best retraction option?

Re: Feature Request/General Problems Thread
How does the purple with white text look? Playing around in Word it seems to stand out pretty well and doesn't cause eye trauma.
Not sure about yellow since it can be such a strong bright color you'd need to go with a very dark color for the text to see anything.

It's a little eye burning against that background, but certainly more noticeable as being a struck out vote. Also might make it more noticeable normally as well in posts.

I think that grey/purple is a winner. Should we do a poll?
Do we like the red strike out? Is it problematic for dferr (or anyone else?)

Probably need to remove the <h3> tag as well, if you're still using it. That feeds an automated break after it.
Also, those colors are horrendous, and the red-on-purple is even worse.

Both. The red-on-purple is a contrast issue, possibly exacerbated by my colorblindness. The purple and grey just looks hideous though!
